Our pharmacy program also offers a selection of elective courses in advanced and emerging topics, enabling students to advance their learning to specific interests. These include Pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Clinical Trial Regulation Monitoring, Regulatory Affairs, Nutraceuticals & Cosmetics, and Pharmaceutical Marketing. These structured learning experiences prepare pharmacy students with both foundational knowledge and specialized competencies needed for diverse career paths in pharmacy. This course was part of a program designed to support academically outstanding students by providing them with modern practical and cognitive experiences that keep pace with rapid developments in the pharmaceutical and medical sciences sector. The course included scientific lectures, practical workshops, and research discussions supervised by specialized professors from both institutions.

The Catholic University in Erbil, in partnership with USAID, is launching BEEM to support minorities in the IKR and Ninewa Plains—especially IDPs—by providing job skills training that improves access to employment and strengthens livelihoods.

Cooperation Agreement Signed Between Al-Kitab University and Al-Nahrain University

The Iraqi Knowledge Day Reward is considered one of the most important academic rewards that rewarded by the Ministry of the Higher Education annually, to honor the institutions, the distinguished individuals in the scientific research fields, the academic publishing, and develops the university’s services within a national vision aims to uphold a cultural of excellence and the quality of Iraqi higher education. To become internationally recognized for academic excellence in pharmacy education, research, and innovation, while improving pharmacy healthcare through ethical values, professional leadership, international collaboration, and strengthening cooperation with the pharmaceutical industry. As part of the summer training program, a group of pharmacy students from Al-Kitab University participated in an advanced training course organized in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde in the UK, which is ranked among the world’s top universities in pharmaceutical sciences. Numerous academic options are available for students interested in pursuing careers in the healthcare industry.

• The University Student team included the fourth-stage students, Hassan F. Abdel Hamza, Muhammad M. Nassir from the Faculty of Dentistry, and Qassim L. Qassem from the College of Medical and Health Technologies.

• On Sunday, the 12th of May, 2024, Prof. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University received Prof. Dr. Ahmed Dizeyi, the President of Knowledge University and his accompanying delegation.

Furthermore, the network computer center is connected to other computer facilities via fast internet connection. Department oversight includes an educational program for staff and faculty. It covers teaching methodologies, professor development, language instruction, and integrating technology for effective teaching.

The ceremony featured a parade of graduating students, a speech by the University President, a speech by Provincial Council member Mr. Mohannad Al-Jubouri, as well as congratulatory addresses from the Head of the Academics Syndicate and a student representative. All speakers extended their congratulations to the graduates and their families, wishing them success and prosperity. The event was attended by presidents of local universities or their representatives, members of the Provincial Council, representatives of security leadership, the Head of the Academics Syndicate, the Head of the Engineers Syndicate, university professors, students, and their families. On Monday, the 10th of October 2022, the Registration Directorate of the Erbil Polytechnic University Presidency managed a workshop about the electronic registration of students in the colleges and institutes. The University Rector, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Recoor Assistant for Scientific Affairs, and several EPU Presidency Directors were present in this workshop. The exhibition will be opened under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University entitled (U-TECH) in which showcase all the projects that have used technology in each field (engineering, science, health, economy and art) will be shown in the Exhibition. In continuation of activities to serve the students, on the 4th and 5th of May, 2024, the Erbil Polytechnic University will open a knu technology exhibition entitled (U-TECH) for graduates and students of our university in order to showcase their projects and get job opportunities. Catholic University in Erbil intends to support mature learners to improve their English Language.

The Faculty of Dental Surgery was established in March 2021 through a franchise agreement between Qaiwan International University (QIU) and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), offering a Bachelor of Dental Surgery Programme. As one of QIU’s prestigious faculties, we are committed to providing a comprehensive and enriching educational experience for the next generation.The Faculty of Dental Surgery is dedicated to creating a stimulating learning environment that fosters intellectual development, critical thinking, and the development of practical and clinical skills. Through the integration of theory and practice, our programmes prepare students to navigate the complexities of the contemporary world and make significant contributions to their respective fields. The College of Pharmacy at the Catholic University in Erbil (CUE) was established in 2022, with the first class of 31 students admitted in the 2022–2023 academic year. Currently, we have a total of 110 pharmacy students across the three stages, supported by a team of qualified national and international faculty members specializing in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Clinical Pharmacy, Clinical Biochemistry, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacognosy. The decision to launch the pharmacy program stemmed from a strategic vision to address the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq at large, and to contribute to the improvement of public health outcomes through education rooted in ethics and social responsibility.

The visit included a detailed explanation of the nature of the unit’s work, the electronic books it contains from various scientific and literary specializations, and how the students can benefit from them. On Monday, October 20, 2025, a group of second-year students from the Department of General Education/English Language Teaching (ELT) at Cihan University – Erbil conducted an educational activity at Shakar Primary School under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Dashne Abdullah Saeed. In a meeting, both parties discussed building a scientific relationship, conducting a mutual activity, and encouraging the EPU technical institutes alumni to complete their higher education studies at Knowledge University.

The overtime is an extra effort to ensure that the job or duty is completed. In private universities, overtime is needed to cover all hours of the courses and this may affect in a good or bad way on the lecture “depending on the number of extra hours”. This research highlights the importance of overtime and how it affects the performance of private universities. 34 questionnaire papers were obtained out of 40 have been distributed on employees at Knowledge University.
